wedding at The Barn at Gibbet Hill |Aimee+Patrick
rustic barn wedding Groton Massachusetts | robert norman photography
Aimee and Patrick were married in Groton MA, at the beautiful Barn at Gibbet Hill. Who doesn’t love a winter wedding with a cozy , rustic feel – and this venue (one I had never been to before, which made it extra-fun) certainly was the perfect spot for such an event!!
Aimee and Patrick got ready a few short minutes away at the Westford Regency Hotel…
look at that sassy look the girls have!
I really thought that the ‘pattern’ on Patrick’s ring was pretty cool, which I as told is a result of a process the ring went through while being made. Looked like woodgrain to me!
now THAT’S a pair of wedding shoes—-
the ringbearer showed up, got kissed and in turn – covered in lipstick
a few of the gifts Patrick had for Aimee this day—

meanwhile at The Barn, Patrick waits patiently – and gets an award for standing in one spot and not moving (as I asked him not to) in the freezing cold in preparation for a First Look
Aimee arrived in her Dad’s vintage Model-T!
I’ve got to say – everyone were real troopers as it was–well…DAMN cold (I was a big baby in a fleece and gloves and STILL got numb eventually…)
Aimee’s dress from Kleinfeld
…we got a little dose of gorgeous end-of-the-day sun!!
the blog resizing does not do this HUGE, wide image justice – which is the product of about 13 shots all stitched together–

i really loved the colors and use of succulents in the arrangements
this little guy was totally enamored with a paper airplane someone made for him, and I helped by giving it some passengers and a fancy star for him
the kids surprised the couple with a little song at the end of the ceremony!
super-cool wedding cake from Konditor Meister
since ten couple are both chefs, it only seemed appropriate that all the guests received bottle of vanilla extract as gifts! ( yeah, there were extra and I grabbed a couple!!)
also thanks to Night Rhythm from Boston for the great tunes all night long!
