Waveny House wedding | Brenda + Jake | New Canaan, CT
New Canaan Connecticut wedding at Waveney Park | Robert Norman Photography | vintage wedding photography
Brenda and Jake were married on one of the most perfectly romantic November nights you could possibly hope for here in CT a few weeks back. They decided to have their black-tie affair and ceremony under strings of globe lights on the gorgeous patio of the Waveny House at Waveny Park, in New Canaan CT. Take a look—
her beautiful dress was from the great people at The Plumed Serpent in Westport CT (seriously, they are terrific people to deal with!!!)
we started at Brenda parents house where everyone was totally laid back and hanging out – which is SUCH a nice way to start the day off!!
+++
we arrived at Waveny a little early for family photos and a First Look ( the light was fading as it was November!)
we did our First Look on the elegant grand staircase at Waveny
I LOVE this–I think it’s my favorite group shot from the day!
Jackie from Ambiance Luxe Wedding Design did a spectacular job with the details and planning, as well as Marissa from Jordan’s Caterers for the delicious food. I REALLY love those green and white tulips–so nice to see in November!
Jordan’s serving up some hot cider to keep the guests warm during the outdoor evening ceremony
the always wonderful Mary Coburn was on hand to officiate the ceremony. She is one of the only people who can do a service that gets me teary eyed—
I can’t get over how beautiful globe lights look in the evening in this situation!!!!
I can’t get over how great that cool back lighting looks here ( geeky photo-talk: sorry!)
another photo-geek alert: panorama shot stitched together form about 9 images!
oh yes. Thats right. There was a mariachi band!!!!!! (which incidentally, I could listen to all day long)
first dance under the patio lights…
hands down. My favorite shot of the night. The month–maybe the Season….
thanks as well to Gennaro from James Daniel Entertainment for the rocking tunes!
