St. Clements Castle wedding: Corine+Pete
A Connecticut wedding at St. Clements Castle, Portland CT.
Corine and Pete were married August 11th at St.Clements Castle in Portland CT. They had a beautiful outdoor ceremony in the sunken garden – and one major unusual wedding factor you’ll read about in a moment…
Corine’s mom got into her wedding dress from the 70’s so she could have a quick photo taken with Corine in HER dress–I thought that was really pretty cool!
Her brother was her ‘Dude of Honor’ – ALSO pretty damn cool, if you ask me!…
a family friend did all the floral work, which is amazing ( not to mention the terrific lighting as well! )
I REALLY loved the programs, which I know she had made online
a brief emotional moment with Pete and his mom, right before the ceremony
a panorama ‘experiment’ – this was about 8 shots stitched together
one thing I love about shooting in this garden is this angle you can get of the entire proceedings, which you do not generally have access to!
Betty Allard was officiating
this was pretty funny: Corine’s show got stuck in the grass and popped off, so her Dude Of Honor came to the rescue helping her with it back on; a Prince Charming moment 🙂
Pete and his sister…
OK – so here’s the Big Secret...what’s missing from this picture? That’s right, BRIDESMAIDS! They had one ‘Best Guy’ and a few groomsmen, and that was IT! I realized shooting it that in all these years, I had NEVER come across that!
