secret Central Park proposal !

So a couple of weeks ago I got a call to photograph an actual PROPOSAL in Central Park! I did this only once before at a restaurant, so this was a lot more nerve wracking. For starters, there was a street fair on 57th ST making parking a nightmare. THEN it started drizzling and we needed to walk about 20 blocks up to 77th street as there were NO taxis! I mention this, because I was a nervous wreck – like I WAS getting propose to or something. I knew,even more so than a wedding, that there was NO getting second chance with this!! I was clammy and shaky and—oh well..enough of that: here are the images.

I only wish there were audio here, which would reveal the screams and yelps I heard when he pulled out the ring!!!!

This is for you photographers out there- I need to mention the PHOTOG in the background, who was all agitated and kept saying” SIR: you’re in my shot…SIR: you’re in my shot….” really? these 2 JUST got engaged right before your eyes–calm down, Junior. Even HIS couple looked embarrassed. What do you expect in a public place – like CENTRAL PARK??!! I felt like giving that other couple my business card saying: your guy is a but of a pest: give me a call…”
