Private Estate Wedding | Sharon + Dana
wedding at a private home in Weston CT | Connecticut wedding photographer
Now and then you meet a client who you immediately click with – someone you feel like you’ve known a long time. It’s hard to figure out WHY, but it’s a really good feeling. When Sharon came to the house for a consult, it felt like 2 friends just sitting around chatting, so i knew this would be a great event. Once she started explaining the details and vision for the day I really got excited. I mean, it not only was going to be on a gorgeous private estate nearby, but she wanted FOOD TRUCKS for the main meal!!! Let me repeat: Food Trucks!
Take a look…

I loved her giant wedding day binder which was the early morning reference tool of choice.
Dana got ready in another house down the road before coming over for the First Look
Both had been married before, and all the kids were involved and super fun!
The dog wondering why he’s not more involved…
This little guy was just SO CUTE I couldn’t take it!!

Those flowers!!!
The caterer were busy setting up outside ( and it had gotten a little steamy outside since the rain stopped and sun came out ) So I suggested the First Look inside this beautiful home her friend kindly let us ‘take over’! You have home like this, why not use it?!
Amy Champagne and her team did an outstanding job with the incredible details. It all felt very loose and natural – not fussy and over done.
We did a whole bunch of photos outside of course, but also wanted to do this kind off casually formal thing inside!
Some more of the details. This tables are so cool – look like golf tees to me.

The ceremony

Those ‘crate chandeliers’ were custom made by Amy’s team especially for the wedding. You’ll see them again in a moment at night.
Did I mention food trucks?! So while On The Marc Events handled all the passed treats, guests were escorted into one of the 2 clear tents with casual, open seating and could get whatever they wanted from whatever truck they chose. We had meatballs, tacos, Banh Mi and my personal fave – grilled cheese!!! Like REALLY GOOD grilled cheese – not your mama’s version.
SO check out the clear tent and custom lighting at night–incredible! This tent was strictly for music and dancing, but many guests hung out in the ;food tent’ as well. What was so cool was that people were just wandering all over the property – keeping it very loose feeling. More ‘party’ and less ‘weddingy’ if that makes sense?
An evening overview of the whole setup
SO many thank to everyone for making this one of my favorites of the season! I’ve done my best to list everyone below – hope I got everybody!!!
