A Cranwell Resort wedding | Michelle + Jim
A Berkshire’s wedding in Lenox, MA
Michelle and Jim were married at the magnificent Cranwell Resort in Lenox, MA. To start, I LOVE Lenox as a town, simply because of how charming it is (some great restaurants too) So I was extra-excited to discover we’d be photographing this event at The Cranwell.
Both the guys and girls got ready in opposite parts of the Inn. Thanks to Ian Witschy of iWish Photography for second shooting.
I love the abundant natural light streaming into the rooms.
Groovy bow tie and converse!
I just adore Michelle’s grandmothers expression here as she watched her get dressed.
Dad stands nearby waiting for the A.O.K. to come in and see his daughter.
We grabbed a few shots on the boys outside right before our First Look.
It’s a sequence like this that makes the First Look so special!
The Cranwell is such an exquisite backdrop for photos.
I haven’t seen this flower used in a bouquet since my wedding in Maui!
We shot this from what felt like a mile away to get some of that purple out of focus in the foreground.
A little pre-wedding talk!
The hand-painted flowers on the veil were really something special!
One of my favorite images of the day!!!
I also thought that these bridesmaids dresses were so fun and summery–something really different.
As you can see form the mountains- Autumn had indeed started to kick in, but we had a really warm, summery day.

OK–I take it back – THIS is my favorite image of the day!

on to the reception—
I KNEW I had to get some sort of ‘dramatic’ image of our couple with the building, so we waited until just after dusk and scooted out for a bit and used as much existing light as we could to keep it soft and warm!

Your skills as a photographer are spectacular. You captured everything that a Bride & Groom could ask for to remember all the special moments. A wedding day goes by way too quickly and now they can be reminded of all the wonderful events and people who shared it. Great job.
