An Inn at Longshore wedding | Megan+James
Westport CT shoreline wedding – Amy Champagne Events
Well the 2013 wedding season started off with a bang with Megan and James’ beautiful event at the Inn At Longshore in Westport. It was one of those spectacular comfortable Spring Connecticut days you really hope for on a wedding day. The day started out with preparations and a First Look at the gorgeous Delamar Hotel in Southport, CT.… while the fellas got ready at the Norwalk Inn.
Meghan’s super-cool dress came from The Plumed Serpent Bridal in Westport
Meghan reads her card from James before reopening his gift to her.

Meanwhile – the boys are nearly ready
Larissa Lake hard at work on Meghan’s makeup!
a quick toast before the dress goes on!
FINALLY–that damn zipper cooperated!!!
One of my favorites from the day, taken right in the hotel room no less!
just beautiful: flowers by Fleurescent, Milford CT
The Delamar has a LOT of cool spots to photograph!!

So after some pix at the hotel, we hopped to downtown Southport. While we’re standing there, this AMAZING blue Edsel drives slowly by. I started yelling-“OH my god!! Stop him!!!” Now if you know me at all, you can only imagine that I started jumping up and down like a little kid. The car could not have been more perfect, and Mark from the CT Seaport Car Club could not have been nicer to let us ‘take over’ his automobile for 15-20 minutes!
somebody pinch me….

the ceremony was at the First Congregational in Norwalk. Fun Robert Norman Factoid: I photographed my FIRST wedding there 22 years ago, and this is the first time i’d ever been back!

on to The Inn at Longshore!!!
Amy from Amy Champagne Events did a GREAT job of making the day and details beautiful (and she was a delight to work with, I might add….)
–check out the seating cards which were luggage tags with different countries, along with postcards to write the couple a greeting
I really LOVE this candid–just existing room light!
groovy tunes from Oasis Music, NJ
and finally- dessert was cup-cake-o-rama , from Taste & See!!!
also thanks to Jay Fleming and Ian Witschy for lending a helping hand this day!!!
