Lighthouse Point wedding | Mary & Liam
New Haven CT Lighthouse Point beachside wedding | Robert Norman weddings
Approaching the end of the Wedding Season is always met with a bit of relief (‘I survived another years of weddings and I hope everyone is HAPPY!’) and a tad of melancholy, since all the planning and excitement is over (for now!) SO it makes me especially happy to present this lovely , extra-pretty wedding from a few weeks back. Liam (the groom) had been in a few OTHER of my couples past weddings who were also guests at this event, so it was a bit like old home week…
yeah–ok…well the weather did NOT start out so teriffic that day with a kind of damp, New England drizzle – but thankfully the girls were incredibly prepared! That’s a lot of sassy boots!!!
honestly – I LOVE a practical bride!! (veil, bathrobe and rain boots!!!)
because we were expecting the rain, Mary and Liam had worked out for us to shoot at the New Haven Museum near Yale. (who I might add, were incredibly flexible and open to us shooting wherever we needed to!)
First Look under the rotunda!
when you have access to a bicycle exhibit, you take advantage of it—
It cleared up enough for us to grab some shots right out front – I felt like we hit the jackpot. With the umbrellas and all, this reminded me of Mary Poppins for some reason as I was shooting it!
we whet back inside to grab a few portraits since we had the time (which was GREAT!)

so keep in mind all this happened before the ceremony, and since we had ample time, Mary and Liam wanted to check out the room and the details before everyone got there and starting sitting and moving things.
We drove over to Lighthouse Point and also grabbed a few quick shots (the rain was holding out!!!)
This was Mary’s FIRST plan for the First Look had the weather held – so we kinda did a different version of it anyway!

meanwhile at the church….

The gals at Ambiance Luxe Wedding Designs did an amazing job with the planning and details!
and of course, we had to get a carousel ride!!

Mary’s dad made that ‘LOVE’ sign! I told him he could rent it out!!!
and to wrap things up, we had a late night visit from their favorite pooch! 🙂
