The Inn At Longshore | Lauren + Josh get married!
Connecticut Wedding Photographer | The Inn At Longshore Westport CT
Ahhhh–now THIS was a great wedding! Lauren and Josh had their ceremony and reception at The Inn at Longshore back in August, but it honestly feels like a month or so ago…check it out—
This was simply one of those weddings that make me happy! Everyone was in great spirits, the wedding party were fun and easygoing…I got to shoot the kind of formals I LIKE to!!! Just everything was GREAT!!!
Luckily, I had the terrific Stephen Wang along for the ride to help second shoot. He hung out with the guys while I was with the Ladies.
You see what I mean? Moments like these left and right–just wonderful!!
You know, a lot of times when you photograph the Gentlemen there just kinda sitting around not doing much as I like to joke, “Watching ESPN and struggling with their cufflinks”. These guys were hanging out, and really having a great time.
Oooooo! And how about this spectacular dress from The Plumed Serpent Westport!

Now if you follow this blog at all, then you KNOW how much I LOVE First Looks. There is so much intimacy and emotion in seeing each other in a private moment (well, as private as you can get with ME lurking around, but still…) This one took the cake. This one gave me a moment to pause, swallow a little harder than usual and watch as my eye went blurry from a tiny tear. Josh’s reaction to Lauren is absolutely PRICELESS in that moment of getting choked up. Its what First Looks were meant for.
And of course a selfie since, you know–it’s 2014! LOL
I love capturing faces with such character at weddings; i’m always on the lookout for these!
The perfection of an ‘imperfect’ group shot–my favorite.
Stephen got some great shots of the flower girl just hanging out
So we took a stroll down to where the Sailing School is and kind of invaded as they were cleaning up for the day.
This is actually one of my favorites. In the past i would have NEVER done this, but I was feeling it and knew that Lauren and Josh would appreciate the spontaneity of it. (the instructors kept apologizing for being ‘in the way’ and I was like, “No-no–you’re FINE!! I want you in it!!”
Pretty sure they thought I was nuts.
Again-i’m telling you: even with a group this large, this arrangement just sort of ‘happened’
Some pre-ceremony discussions

The look on Joshs’ Mom’s face here is priceless!
We had gorgeous, soft (photo-code for cloudy) light which let me get great shots from every angle–no glare or squinting.

Now I did NOT see this cake smash coming–and neither did Lauren ( look at that face in image #2 up top–lol)
Thanks again for a marvelous day and to the staff at The Inn at Longshore for helping everything run so smoothly!
