Larchmont Yacht Club Wedding: Lindsey+Adam
a wedding in Westchester County at the Larchmont Yacht Club | Robert Norman photography
It’s always a little extra-fun when you get to photograph a wedding where you have a history with the couple and/or some of the guests. Such as the case with Lindsey and Adams wedding at the Larchmont Yacht Club, in Westchester County NY. I had photographed Adams best mans Tim’s wedding several years back (as well as his family in Maine) and now HE was Adam’s best man! We spent our entire day, prep – ceremony and reception and the gorgeous Club . I had actually forgotten that i’d been there once before but it all came back to me as I drove up the driveway—
It was another one of those REALLY hot East Coast summer days (this summer, what ELSE is new) so we tried to stay inside as much as we could until the sun started going down a bit. I could not complain, as how could you go wrong with a space this cool for a dress shot?!
not sure why that little viking ship fascinated me…
Lindsey just has the sunniest smile!
I found an old radiator I could not resist using for something…
we did something a little unusual, as we did TWO First Looks – one for Dad and for for Adam!
I even got a little choked up during this!
a little while later, it was Adam’s turn…
super fun socks–and even a broken-ankle boot …thanks for ruining my shot, Tim 🙂
The room seemed to inspire this shot, so I had everyone strike a ‘Vanity Fair’ pose (or Dark Shadows if you’re feeling more gothic, I suppose)
The gals insisted on this – they were really excited about their sunglasses!!!

so this was fun – the men took a boat around the harbor (only about 10 minutes) to arrive at the ceremony by boat! I was like a stowaway and tagged along…
I just LOVE the look on Dads face in this image—
this was really cute : Adam and Lindsey had their first kiss, then he paused – gave us the ‘wait one more minute’ finger, and went in for another!
they performed the traditional ‘Colors’ ceremony right at sunset
I could see 100 more shots from this wedding and never tire of it! Adore the Dad….the arrival by boat…..and the ‘first look’ by Dad! Great idea!

Robert, thanks again for capturing our wedding absolutely perfectly. It’s no wonder Tim considers you part of the family! You are, quite simply, the best!
