Erin and Randy: family photos along the PCH
So a couple of weeks back I made the trip out to L.A.—I got a great flight rate on Virgin America (if you haven’t and have a chance, FLY THEM!!) and had some free time. Sadly, the second day of the trip Strep Throat kicked in and I spent the LAST 2 days in bed at the hotel, which was a million laffs. Before that however, I managed to see my cousin Erin and her husband Randy and their new baby Harper. We hung out at the Santa Monica Farmers Market and drive up the Pacific Coast Highway to a spot Randy had in mind for photos….

Randy grabbed this shot of my giant stump neck—

Now, I REALLY hope this photo does justice to the unholy CLIMB it was to get to this scenic perch. Please note my improper footwear, as I had NO IDEA what we were in for. It was at about—Ohhh, I think a 90 degree angle and soft sand that gave way with every step you took bringing you back a step or 2…NOT an easy climb with camera backpack and baby in hand…apparently the UCLA basketball team uses this hill for practice. Yikes is all I have to say.

see those TINY little cars behind Wrigley’s head—yes…thats how far up we were—

Luckily this spot down the road was easier to access, though there was a locked gate that Randy was not expecting. He suggested we climb over it. I suggested he was insane and that was that.
these are amazing!!! love the shots of baby and mom snuggling. So precious.
What? You were just in LA and didn’t give me a call? How Keith of you!
