Dyker Beach Golf Course wedding | Michelle+Jerry
a Brooklyn wedding in Dyker Heights | Robert Norman weddings
Michelle and Jerry were married this past weekend at the lovely Dyker Beach Golf Club in Brooklyn. While it was technically the first wedding of the year, it actually felt like the last of of the season or me as the weddings don;t ‘kick in’ not until The early Spring.
The couple found out a mere 10 days before the wedding that their original venue was still in sad shape from Hurricane Sandy, so they scrambled to find a new venue – which I have to say – was really wonderful (I might add, that the staff was INCREDIBLY friendly and accommodating to them as well as myself, which was REALLY refreshing!)
For a switch up – we started at Jerry’s parents home in Brooklyn for getting ready candid shots, rather than with Michelle!
the guys decided jerry’s hair needed fussing–
we all squished into the limo together and headed to the church
we discovered this rather random mural on the side of an apartment building that I just could not resist using as a backdrop—
Jerry gets some instructions from Monsignor Joseph Calese
we had lots of kids on hand for flower and ring duty!
I loved that the church was still all set up for Christmas
Grandma get a sweet kiss
not your typical ‘wedding photo’ but I REALLY love this image simply as a photograph
the gang braved the chill for a few outdoor group shots
I thought Michelle’s dress was REALLY cool and unique – the Asian inspired look was really something i’d never seen before!~from Kimera Design
