Devon+Tom's wedding @ The NY Botanical Gardens
Ok ok, I KNOW i’ve been behind with posts and everything, as December has gotten the best of me. So lets catch up a little starting with a BEAUTIFUL wedding from November 19th at the Lillian and Amy Goldman Stone Mill at New York Botanical Gardens. I have photographed events at the Gardens before, but never at this rather new venue. As is everything at the Gardens, it’s overseen by Abigail Kirsch Catering–so it’s not only yummy, but the service and attention to detail is beyond top-notch.
Devon had just 1 bridesmaid ( practical!!! love it) and her Mom Sue gave her a hand getting ready in their bridal suite.
that dress was MADE for her figure–just beautiful.
Meanwhile, her dad Bruce waited patiently in the lobby…
I grabbed a few shots of Tom and his best man while we waited for the First Look
check out Toms expression when he saw her for the first time!…
Oh my gosh—we had such gorgeous soft light that day—many of the Autumn leaves were gone, but everything still had that ‘Fall Glow’ about it
give me a big stone to shoot against wall and i’m a happy guy
this perspective from across the way on the nearby bridge was just so great I thought–the Mill looked so cool
I think I could have wandered this property for hours if we had the time, there are so many great little spots to search out for shooting!

Devon’s mom actually made the flower girl dresses–check out those great velvet bows!
UH OH! Last minute announcement that flash wasn’t allowed–so everything was lit by candlelight and a few overhead spots (thanks to the D3s, it wasn’t a problem!)
Thanks to everyone for making the day so great, Hank Lane Music and Productions, and Paul Richards from Abigail Kirsch for making sure every little detail ran smoothly and keeping me in the loop as well!
