A Newport Wedding | The Newport Officer’s Club
Nate and Christine were married on a picture-perfect day in Newport RI. Since Nate is in the military, the reception was at the Officer’s Club, which has a stunning outdoor deck and view of the Newport Bridge.
The guys got ready at Nate’s apartment and had a few cocktails to take the edge off—
Menawhile the ladies were down the road at a hotel getting prepped.
“Please stop combing my hair….”
Even the flower girl needed to take the edge off – LOL
We had the ceremony in the chapel on the base.
After the ceremony we had a trolley for a couple of hours, so we REALLY hit a lot of great Newport locations!

I am SO glad that they took the chance to get this shot. It meant climbing out onto some very uneven rocks (not easy in heels). I wish you could see behind me, as it may LOOK serene and peaceful but these are the ‘Forty Steps’ of Newport, so pretty much ANY tourist in the area was there with us! What was really funny is a tourist took a cell phone photo of the couple then got my business card and actually EMAILED it to me in under an hour!
“Love Is Life” a spot with great meaning to the couple. For one reason, they always jog by it when they go running!
Then – we stitched from the trolley to a boat to arrive at the Club (needless to say, there were some complicated logistics with the second shooter, as HE needed to be at the club to get a shot of us arriving! Thanks again, Ian!!)
So this is Ian’s shot from the club us us arriving–i’m on that boat somewhere!
All the tables were designed around their globetrotting travels!

Anddddd—then we had a full-on ‘dance-off!!!!”
