A Jonathan Edwards Winery wedding | Alexis+Eric
A Connecticut winery wedding | CT Winery Photographer
Ok–I know what you’ve been asking: why on earth hasn’t Robert posted any weddings in such a long time? The Rule Of Good Blogging say you should post things in a consistent manner, but this Summer time sort of slipped away from me in some weird time-warp, making me officially the Worst Blogger of 2013. With that said however I do believe the absolute prettiness of Alexis and Eric’s wedding should more than compensate for my bad internet skills–
They had sent me their invite to photograph before the wedding, as it was a beautiful, press printed invite
The wedding party all got ready at the Mystic Marriott. The image on the upper right below is of the incredible wrapping job Eric did on Alexis’ gift. Since he is of French heritage, she commented on his precision with wrapping skills!
Alexis then got dressed at the Bridal room at Jonathan Edwards Winery
Meanwhile, the fellas were still at the hotel doing final preparations
Ian who was there second shooting for me that day, grabbed some cigar/tractor shots while we were waiting to do the First Look

Eric patiently waits for Alexis and their First Look
I really just LOVED her dress by Vera Wang
Alexis and her Dad
…during which somehow poor Eric ended up with all the flowers—
we had some extra time so hopped into the cask room for a few quick shots
the ring bearer and flower girl came a little late, so they got their very own photoshoot!

some of the great details from one of my favorites- A Thyme To Cook
Eric’s parents walk him down the aisle between the vines at Jonathan Edwards
I always thought this photo might be a tad melodramatic and all, but I still like it!
justice of the peace Robert Elmer – did a really cool ‘ring warming’ ceremony, where the rings get passed into all of the guests hands. The poor Best Man watched carefully (and slightly terrified) as he was SO worried about having a ring go missing. Now THAT’S a good best man!!!
a custom wooden serving board from A Thyme To Cook–such a nice, personalized touch!
the tent looked amazing and inviting, using square tables with one long farmhouse style in the center for the wedding party-
this little guy would NOT stop playing with his VW Bus toy!
…
…and SOMEHOW we managed to get ALL the guests out side right before the reception for a group photo!
I love Eric’s concerned face here–
this image get to me every time I look at it–
the evening dessert table setup (they had BLUE cake!!!)
also thanks to DJ Doug from Power Posse (860) 572-5932…one of the best DJ’s around–no joke!
