a Union League Cafe wedding | Claudia + Derek
A New Haven Wedding | The Union League Cafe
Ahhh – there is just something very special about March weddings. Mr. Winter is on his way out here in New England, and for wedding photographers, we know the SUPER busy season is just around the bend! Add to that a small, intimate event of about 35 people PLUS the added bonus of an event at the Union League Cafe, and you have a beautiful beginning to the wedding season – take a look….
The ladies got ready at the Omni Hotel right in downtown New Haven
Check out this vintage clutch Claudia was using this day!
That face!
Guess I was feeling a little dramatic here!

I walked with Claudia over to the Union League where we met Derrick in the cute alley right next to it for the First Look
The amazing work of Diane Gaudett Custom Floral Designs (of which you will see more of in a moment!…)
We had some time to stroll over to Yale across the street for some casual formals
I just really though thy the line of this dress was both amazing and incredibly flattering for Claudia!
And Derrick looked pretty good too 🙂
The bridal party and family arrive for more photos
Our serious ‘Vanity Fair’ pose (hard to get this group to not smile though!

There is really something to be said about an intimate wedding, especially at a place like the Union League where the experience is really about the food!
Things got a little space age with this electric violin!
Thanks to Christina and the staff at The Union League (you’all know you’re one of my favorite venues!!) As well as Derrick and Claudia for making the day so fun for ME!!
