Jackie and Tom were married late November this year at the gorgeous Belle Mer in Newport Rhode Island on Goat Island.
Jackie and Tom say of their wedding day:
“We got married on our 8th anniversary of dating 11/23/11! We got engaged in Barcelona, andTom proposed one full week into our European vacation – I was totally not expecting it and still don’t believe he carried the ring for a full week before giving it to me!”

Jackie says of the dress, “Selecting the dress was fun and challenging because I’d never had input into dress design before. I was lucky enough to get to customize two separate pieces that came together perfectly. The process was about finding a balance between my modern and classic sides. In the end I combined both to get the 2-in-1 dress that I wore and I love it!”
That detailing was just incredible!

Once I saw these 3 guys I KNEW they needed their own ‘ring security’ photo shoot. I gave the one on the left my phone and said, “You all have to look REALLY serious like you’re protecting something!”

Jackie says her favorite part of the day was right before she walked down the aisle. “The doors opened and I saw Tom, followed by everyone else, I expected to be too nervous to walk but instead I believe I smiled and said something like “wow this is amazing” and grabbed my dad’s arm and went. It was smooth sailing from there on out. “

The couple chose Newport because they spent part of their childhoods living in RI. Tom had spent time there since many of his family members and friends are sailors. “I visited Belle Mer once and fell in love with it’s simply beauty and clean white slate that you could decorate all your own” Jackie Said. “When we left the first meeting, Tom looked at my mom and said “we’re getting married at Belle Mer!”
