It started on a Zoom call when Ryan spotted the R2-D2 sitting behind me. That pretty much told me everything I needed to know about these two.
We did their engagement session in Central Park in NYC before the wedding — one of my favorite places to shoot — and by the time their tented reception at the Riverside Yacht Club rolled around it felt less like a job and more like a party I happened to be working. Tented weddings have an energy all their own, and this one delivered. Planned by the incomparable Amy Champagne Events, which means every detail was exactly right so I could just focus on the moments.
Some couples you just click with from the first Zoom call. Anne and Ryan were those people.
Riverside Yacht Club has been sitting on its point in Greenwich since 1888 (!!!) and it wears the history well — classic clubhouse, docks, and water views in nearly every direction. A tented reception here means Long Island Sound as your backdrop and harbor lights after dark. For couples considering a Greenwich or lower Fairfield County waterfront wedding, this is the old-school-elegant end of the spectrum, and it photographs beautifully from first look to last dance.
