It's not everyday you get asked to fly to Tuscany to photograph a Connecticut couples intimate wedding & you don't have to ask me twice! I was there for several days with the couple and they even had a more 'formal' wedding ceremony the day after this. But I think these are my favorites as the location has so much charm.

Certaldo Alto is a walled medieval hilltop town in the heart of Tuscany, roughly halfway between Florence and Siena — brick towers, ancient lanes, and a funicular that carries you up from the modern town below (yes, we shot in it — see the gallery). Stephanie and John's intimate ceremony in those streets had more charm per square foot than any ballroom could dream of. For couples considering a Tuscany destination wedding: I've photographed in Italy, Ireland, and beyond, and I'm always willing to renew my passport for an adventurous couple.
