Lighthouse Point Wedding | Ryann+Rich

Last Saturday Ryann and Rich were married in West Haven with a  reception that followed at Lighthouse Point. It was a rather hot, steamy summer night that evening – despite the breezes off the ocean….

this is Ryann moms engagement ring in THE ORIGINAL BOX— of course, I was immediately struck by the cool , old logo!

Ryann got a lot of details and inspiration from Etsy – including this program which I just thought was one of the most interesting ones I’d ever seen…

OK.

Sit down for a moment.

I have been in this business 20 years now.

I’ve shot something like 400+ weddings. I have NEVER…. N E V E R seen a dog allowed in a church!!!!  I was stunned—amazed and completely thrilled!

(hence the rather inordinate amount of doggy pix to follow)

their friend Richie supplied his vintage 1952 car for the couple to use right before the wedding!    I was PSYCHED—yellow, vintage 1950’s!!!!!!

so well behaved and so CUTE!!!!!

I just loved this backlight on Ryanns veil—

…and you know, i’m always looking for a reason to take off-the-cuff portraits.

just some of the touches : milk glass vases on all the tables with the world’s most adorable table number cards

tiny, sandy little ringbearer shoes—long since missing their owner!

YES! YES! YES!!! a bride that will sit in her dress!!!

you KNOW I wanted to stuff these groovy napkins in my pockets!!

I got all excited when i saw this : soda pop bottles – handmade pinwheels used as seating cards!

something about this one shot just gets me—

not sure if this is an Etsy find as well – but I really thought they did a great job on the circus-themed typography with their guest sign in board

a continuation of the yellow theme – the late night candy extravaganza!!

and finally – a couple of my ‘vintage frame’ thingamabobs i’m still fooling around with.

Thanks in particular to Carrie Sartor of Lyndsey Hamilton Events for all of her help that day!

Seriously, Robert–I don’t know how you could have kept your cool on this day–it’s like every last detail was your dream come true!! You were MADE to shoot this wedding–they are so lucky to have found you! All of the vintage/cool details! I laughed when I saw those napkins and your comment! Hard to pick a favorite here but my two faves are the one of them in the car kissing (perfect!) and the vertical of her–the last image–in the vintage frame. Gorgeous.
