An Inn at Longshore Wedding | Nancy+Jake

Ok, ok–I apologize in advance for the length of this post. I kinda didn’t realize just HOW MANY images I was including until I loaded them all. BUT – it’s only fitting as it was a BIG, wedding with big personalities and big fun-–check it out–

the gorgeous flowers were created by Flowers By Danielle in Monroe, CT

the gals got started at Nancy moms home in Weston, while my intrepid second shooter Jacob Bergmeier met up with the fellas in Norwalk.

when i got there, Dana Bartone and her staff (who are always super-nice and do an amazing job) were just finishing up hair and makeup—

Nancy’s dress was by Priscilla of Boston, NC

…pinning in a sentimental cameo in the lining of the dress

our third photographer Zack, ran up to that little church window to grab this super-cool shot! ( you can see my giant head looming just past them taking MY shot…)

this cute little nugget was just the sweetest, most well behaved gal all day long!

this is a ‘re-creation’ of a wedding shot that Nancy’s mom and dad had at the same spot!

LISTEN to me when I tell you: the Inn at Longshore has never looked so good–details as far as the eye could see! (and uplighting all around the room, which I must say, made a tremendous difference!)

THAT is one big bridal party!!!

Jake played football at Colgate, (where they met as well) so there was a lot of hijinks in between shots!

ahhh, the light later in the day there was just–well—the kind of light I wish could follow me around!

Nancy giving me the ‘Don’t give me no ‘Tude’ look– I must have been getting sassy?… 🙂

…so while this looks all romantic and beautiful, in reality the thing they are sitting on was filthy, so she’s sitting on my reflector casing to not get dirty, and there were a zillion tiny, nasty flies EVERYWHERE! Ahhh the glamour of photography.

she is just too cute–an inordinate number of shots of the flower girl, i know, i know…

suddenly it turned into a semi-Jewish wedding—only without chairs and WITH sunglasses!

she is SO NOT enjoying THIS ride…

as Nancy’s mom warned...I mean informed me: Nancy and her cousin always do a Love Shack sing-along at get togethers. ( i’m sorry – thats one song I truly never tire of–I LOVE it!! NO JOKE!)

the cake was by Palmers Bakery, in Darien CT

at the evenings end, the gals from Find Ambiance who planned the entire day (and REALLY helped me with my shot list, i’d like to add ) switched over the guest table into a ‘goodbye’ table with candies, cigars and autumnal pumpkin goodies!

thanks to everyone that day for such a LIVELY event!!! Hope you’re having fun in St Lucia (…though i’m still uncertain why I wasn’t taken along as a stow-away…)
