The Spirit Horse Farm | Kent CT country wedding

Kim and Ed were married at the wonderful Spirit Horse Farm, in Kent CT. This really unique spot has a full rental barn for getting ready (and sleeping) as well as some really cool outdoor spots for both a ceremony as well as photos ( including horses and chickens!)

The interior is FILLED with neato collectibles and details–there’s a ton of stuff to photograph!

Now I’ve known this family for about 30 (!!) years now, so it was a very laid back day. When we arrived they were working on some last-minute place cards and seating details

we drove down to the Cornwall Bridge for the First Look ( not an easy task as traffic does NOT stop on a Fall day!!!)

I just loved the back of Kimi’s dress..

GEEKY PHOTOCORNER– so this shot is taken across the traffic lanes of the bridge, with each of us smushed up against opposite walls of the bridge to avoid traffic. I was shooting in between passing cars–you do what ya gotta do!!

I has noticed this farm on the way to the bridge, and we stopped and I simply asked if it was ok–they were more than excited to have a bridal party show up! (plus, I bought some apples too!)

The wine, was one of the last batches Ed’s dad made before he passed away, so they decided to share sit with their guests.

What started out as a cool day suddenly got really-REALLY warm—and the gnats all came out as well, so there was a lot of batting away the bugs!

A bell was rung upon their being declared married, as well as a dove release

To me, the doves in the trees looked like snow!

Ian got some great ‘portraits’ on the horses

I told the girls to get their butts on the tractor!

Later in th enight, we had lanterns–about 40-50 or so I’d say all in all!!!
