Eiling+Jason's NYC engagement shoot

….so a couple of weeks back (on what turned out to be a surprisingly steamy NYC day ), I caught up with Eiling and Jason down town for their engagement session. We hadn’t met in person until then, so it was a great chance to get to know each other before the wedding day. They even brought along their dogs to get in the action!! Lower Manhattan is one of my favorite places to shoot this sort of thing, because you can just wander around never knowing what kinda cool stuff you’ll come across. (plus it seems to completely change every time I visit, so it keeps it interesting to say the least)

take a look—

this building is still under construction, but I loved the fragmented look it had.

I love the way this building looks–it looks especially cool at night as well ( if you;r on the West Side highway, check it out next time)

***

Jason pointed this out and we headed right over (you know, i’m a sucker for big, solid walls or cool weird things like this to shoot in front of!! I mean--pigs fighting over a cupcake–COME ON!)

there was another e-shoot going on in this spot at the same time, so we patiently stepped aside and gave them some space. Such is the situation when shooting in NYC!

Its a little tough getting a mid-street shot without getting run over by a car. Luckily, downtown its a lot easier than elsewhere!

I think if I COULD, i’d shoot in front of this wall all the time (see? the big, solid wall thing I mentioned at work here)

..thanks to you both for putting up with all the walking and the heat ( I think we really wore the dogs out by the end of the shoot) Looking forward to just about a year from now at Saltwater Farm Vineyard
