CT wedding photography | a farm engagement session
Amanda and Dylan own Town Farm Organic in Ledyard CT and are having their outdoor wedding there as all this August. Back in 1998, Amanda’s parents bought the farmhouse and land. The couple actually met working on a Community Supported Agriculture farm in New York State, and then started reviving The Town Farm in 2009 with a CSA of their own! You can read all about it here.
I just loved how personalized this whole session felt, since you can really feel how important this location is to the both of them. Only minutes away from the wacky world of Foxwoods, you truly feel completely removed from all of that on this property. Also, there is some info HERE about CSA if you happen to be in their area!
I kinda couldn’t get enough of Amanda’s floral headpiece!
It was like a playground for me, with cool stone walls, vintage tractors, open fields etc! SO MUCH FUN shooting in a location like this (and it was a beautiful day to top it all off!)
I saw the hammock and KNEW I had to get something on there
Dylan had sold this tractor to a neighbor but managed to get it back for our afternoon since Amanda REALLY wanted to include it!
OK, now THAT’S a good sport (although he may kill me for posting this….but I couldn’t resist)
Their doggie got in on the action as well!
While they have an ‘american gothic’ image on their website already, I was determined to elevate it to something more interesting!!
Check out that vegetable bouquet Amanda whipped up for the shoot!!
By this point, it was obvious SOMEONE WAS GETTING SLEEPY 🙂
Thanks so much for a fun afternoon (and the glass of wine!) I’m SO looking forward top your wedding this summer now that we’ve gotten to know each other a bit better!!
