Kristen+Mark's engagement session, Mystic CT

So while i’m on an editing and blogging roll (maybe too much for folks to absorb in one day?) allow me to present  E-shoot #3 from this past weekend! Kristen and Mark are getting married thie Sept at the always wonderful Saltwater Farm Vineyard (and they let me in  a top secret fact about their groovy ceremony chair placement suggested by Dave at A Thyme To Cook which is TOTALLY cool– cant give it away!! But I can say i’ve never seen it done before in the 400+ weddings i’ve photographed…) This will be a Dream Team weding as far as i’m concerned (not that I include myself while bestowing that title…) But between the venue, caterer and Mary Coburn doing the service, it’ll be amazing, trust me.

Anyhow – we met in Mystic where these 2 got engaged, did some wandering  (my typical engagement shoot ‘scavenger hunt’ approach—“Oooo! Look at that door over there—LET’S GO!!“)  and even took 30 minutes or so to grab a beer at the Irish Pub as an excuse to get out of a drenching sun-shower…

Why feature a restaurant? Because it’s where Mark proposed and they were sitting in that very window!!

I hardly had to give them any directions! No blinking–no stiff faces & awkward moments—this was EASY!!

without a doubt, one of my faves from the day—has a romance novel cover look to it–LOVE it!

You know, standing under those giant cement drawbridge thing-a-ma-bobs is pretty damn scary–but make for a really cool graphic!

we were indeed, loitering.

—so ok, we KINDA snuck right onto somebodys lawn where we spotted this great moss and rock. And I said, “Well, lets try it and see, and if we get chased we politely leave. As Miss Carla says : Don’t ask permision, ask forgiveness. Besides, Marks a state policeman, so i’m sure he’d of just wrestled them to the ground and handcuffed them or something….

couldn’t resist getting that cool painting in at least one photo!

we were on a hunt of your typical clump of ‘nautical rope’ but had a hard time finding some. What kind of seaport IS this? geez….

undefinedundefinedundefinedundefined Thanks for braving the sketchy weather and see you guys sooner than later in Sept! (…and Mark, good luck with the suit nonsense at Nordstroms!!)
